Retired President Uhuru Kenyatta on Monday, October 20, 2025, made a private visit to the home of the late former Prime Minister Raila Amollo Odinga in Kang’o ka Jaramogi, Bondo, Siaya County. The solemn visit came barely a day after Raila was laid to rest in a state funeral attended by thousands of mourners, including top political leaders and foreign dignitaries.
Arriving in a modest convoy without prior public announcement, Uhuru was received by Raila’s widow, Mama Ida Odinga, and close family members. He was later escorted to the freshly covered grave where Raila now rests beside his father, the late Jaramogi Oginga Odinga.According to witnesses, the former president stood silently at the graveside for several minutes before bowing his head in prayer and laying a bouquet of white roses.
