In the quite of the forest ,where tall trees grows together and moss covers the branches ,lives a bird that many people never seen but often hear about the Barred Owl.
The barred owl has brown grey eye and dark white feathers with dark stripes running across it’s body. These patterns helps it blend into tree trunks making it hard to spot . It’s eyes are completely black giving it a deep thoughtful look .When it flies it’s wings makes no sound , helping it to sneak up on it’s prey.

This owl is found in forest ,swamps and near rivers. It used to live mostly in the eastern united states’,but over time it has spread to other parts of north America .it likes leaving in places with big and old trees where it can perch and hunt.

One of the most special thing about the Barred Owl is it’s call where many people says it sounds like words”who cooks for you ,,who cooks for you-all”Hearing this sounds can be both beautiful and alittle spooky.
For many culture ,owl are seen as wise or mysterious creatures. The barred owl sitting silently on a mossy brunch reminds us of the wild places that still exists and the secret of the night.

I love the story
