David Raya Says Man City have Signed One of the Best Player in The World

David Raya was full of praise for one of Manchester City’s summer signings. Raya will come up against Pep Guardiola’s side on the weekend as Arsenal are set to go toe-to-toe with City. The likes of Gianluigi Donnarumma and Tijjani Reijnders both started in the Sky Blues’ 3-0 win against Manchester United and it seems likely that they will feature from the off against Mikel Arteta’s side as well. While Reijnders did not particularly catch the eye against the Red Devils, Donnarumma impressed against Manchester United.

‎Raya had his say on the Manchester City goalkeeper after having played against him last season when Paris Saint-Germain faced Arsenal in the Champions League.

David Raya says Gianluigi Donnarumma is ‘one of the best in the world’ The Spaniard initially praised Donnarumma’s display against Manchester United, admitting that it seemed like he had been a City player for years. Furthermore, the Arsenal number one told reporters that the 26-year-old is one of the best goalkeepers on the planet.
While previewing the North Londoners’ upcoming contest against Athletic Club, Raya lauded Donnarumma. The 30-year-old said via HaytersTV: “Well, if you’ve seen the game yesterday, there’s your answer there. Sometimes, it takes a little bit longer to settle into a club into a club and into a league. He played the first game yesterday and it’s like he’s been here for so many years.”

Raya continued to praise Donnarumma: “That tells you what type of goalkeeper he is, how good he is and the experience he has so it’s so good to have these type of ‘keepers in this league and play against those ‘keepers is a challenge and he’s a joy to play against. He’s one of the best in the world, he’s shown it last season.”
“For me, he was very determinant for PSG last season by giving the Champions League to them so just happy to have him in the Premier League and looking forward to playing against him.”

CLEAN SHEETS 1

‎The former AC Milan number one has won two and lost one out of his three match-ups against the Spanish international’s Arsenal side. Keeping one clean sheet in the process, Pep Guardiola will be hoping that Donnarumma manages to help Manchester City stun Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, much like PSG did last season by winning 1-0. Considering City are the underdogs ahead of the contest, a victory would be a reminder to the world that Guardiola’s side firmly remain in the Premier League title race.
