The death of kyalo mbombu does not only mark the loss of a brilliant lawyer bt also someone who really did play a big role in shaping Kenya’s coprate spheres, academic and Kenya’s legal systems.
There also has been a raise of alarm on safety of lawyers in the country after mbombus death , with the society highlighting disturbing patterns in which advocates are targeted and even killed for defending justice,hence calling for a decisive action on the rising insecurity.
The government has been put on spot over lawyer Mbumbos death, caused the public trust in the rule of law to be shaken, ‘If the ones upholding law can be silenced what about them odinary citizens?’
Citizens have protested over the lawyers killing, calling for accountability and demanding justice and the end to the targeting of lawyers.
Mbumbo’s death must not be another unsolved file and justice should be served according to the Kenyan democracy Rule of law.
